The Lancers showed a little more fight last night losing at perennial power Gonzaga 92-60. Antwan Carter had 19 points and TT Carey had 16 for the Lancers. The Bulldogs did play their starting frontcourt for 32 minutes of the game. The Lancers will now head to Seattle to take on the Red Hawks on Wednesday and look to avenge a 100-99 OT loss.
Seattle has been on quite a run since leaving Farmville, winning three out of their last four. Seattle pressed hard from the get go in Farmville, so expect more of the same for the Red Hawks, who will also have fresher legs only playing in four games since the February 11 meeting while LU has played in six. It would be nice for a deflated Lancers squad to pull off the upset in Antwan Carter’s final game as a Lancer.
