Longwood dropped their twelfth straight game of the year with a terrible second half on the road at High Point. After being down 35-30 at the half, Longwood was outscored 53-30 in the second to drop a 88-60 decision to the 10-10 (5-3) Panthers. Longwood is now 3-19 on the year and 0-8 in their first campaign in the Big South Conference. Longwood has now been outscored 327-237 in the second half of their eight Big South contests or an average 41-30.
Despite the second longest losing streak in program history, Michael Kessens did have a career high 22 points and added 5 rebounds. Tristan Carey also added 15 points and David Robinson had 10.
Head coach Mike Gillian did not appear for his regularly schedule post game comments on the WVHL radio broadcast.
Longwood now prepares for a road trip to Boiling Springs, NC to face Gardner-Webb.

Coach sure did not talk much to the team during timeouts in the second half. I really think he has lost his way and he has no clue how to right the ship. Can someone track the amount of misses we have inside 4 feet? It is almost difficult to try to do that. I have never seen a team miss more easy shots. Woodhouse had a nice game and would have had 15 assists if some players could finish and like I said before Kessens could avg 20 if he would just work with this offense. Woodhouse and others can get him the ball low. His footwork was a ton better last night. Maybe Coach will talk to the folks today for another reason, we can only hope! Let’s see how the Gardner Webb game turns out. I believe we have a fighting chance there, we will see.
